My Story

Hello! My name is Victoria. I am the maker at Bee Charmer Creations. I create unique artisan jewellery and art using metal and gemstones. For many years I dabbled in jewellery creation using other mediums such as polymer clay, but after a personally difficult few years, in October 2019, I discovered the wonderful world of wire wrapping! And oh how wonderful it is! From the moment I captured my first gemstone in wire...just wire, I became obsessed and quickly realised THIS was my thing, my therapy too, spending hours upon hours watching and learning with a hunger to perfect this spectacular art. I was fascinated by the science of how metal behaves and reacts to manipulation, and, for what felt like the first time in my life, I had found something that I was good at. I have always been drawn to gemstones but fell completely in love with their beauty and possibilities for healing. Having the ability to capture them in a piece of wearable art was just amazing to me. 

Something that I always wanted to do was to create a piece entirely from scratch, so I began rock hunting and cutting and polishing some of my own stones. In June this year I finally braved the torch and taught myself metalsmithing. Another addiction to add to the list, but one that has completely changed the game for me. My hope is for other people to get as much appreciation from the art I create as I do.
