Hand cut and polished shropshire blue stone in Sterling Silver.

These stones, my son and I found whilst walking in our local woods. The blue just jumped out at me and I soon realised I had stumbled upon a hoard! After investigation and research, I discovered that they are made up of lime stone and slag left over from the old lime kilns in the area. An array of different shades of blue and endless patterns. Using very basic equipment ,I cut, shaped and polished them by hand to create my first cabochons! This one is set in Sterling silver. A simple setting to allow the stone to be the star of the show.
